Let's Play Ball - We are excited to be able to say those words this year:). HP will be starting the season July 6th.
Softball NS has been given approval for Phase 1 and Phase 2 of return to play. Phase 1 is currently active and we are waiting for permission to move forward with phase 2. Phase 3 is awaiting approval from the Dept. of Health - no timetable given. Phase 4 is pending.
Phase 1 - Skills and Drills (Active)
Phase 2 - House league games within own organization (Approved but will not be implemented until directed by Softball NS)
Phase 3 - Exhibition games against other organization - No tournament play (Waiting approval by Dept. of Health)
Phase 4 - Tournaments and possible provincial (Pending)
This year there have been a few adjustments made to the game of softball to allow us to be able to play our sport during extraordinary times. The first week we will be going over the new rules and field adjustments ensuring the girls are prepared for game play. We will move into game play the following week. There will be 2 house league teams per division playing each other. Schedules will be updated to the HP website as well as facebook on Wednesday.
This year all parents need to complete a COVID liability waiver for their daughter before they step onto the field. HP will provide safety guidelines and protocols before the season begins.
Registration payments or arrangements are due by Friday June 26th. If your daughter is not returning to softball this year please let us know so we are able to offer her spot to another player.
Travel teams - return to practice dates will be made available very shortly.
As more information becomes available we will provide updates.
Please let us know if you have any questions
